Crimpin' Ain't Easy

Pie crusts are like hairstyles for pies. You can keep it simple and just use a fork on the edges to make it look like you put some effort into it, or you can go for the double french braid of all pie crusts and create the "shaft of wheat" (I had never heard of this one until today).

But Guys! Crimping isn't just for looks. So don't judge this lemon pie and think she's just trying to look good for some hot treat down the street. Crimping actually helps your pie crust keep its form and not slump over during baking.
